Lots of information - not terribly uplifting but that is what it is! Our subsidization of those 20 families in the Imperial Valley so that they can grow alfalfa & cattle feed is not surprising nor the fact that some or much is shipped to other countries. The BLM's backing off & requesting a meet regarding the transmission line is a shocker - generally its all speed ahead & completely ignore any idea that there might be another way! Ah well.....

Thanks Jon.

I detect on undertone of distain for gated communities. But c'mon Jonathan...that gate can keep out all those undesirables. I have a gate on my property. Mostly I use it to keep my dogs in. Maybe that's the idea behind the LDS gate. Keep in all those LDS dogs. And you never know… the alfalfa that they used to grow there, and mostly ends up in Saudi Arabia, uses an enormous amount of water. Maybe a few hundred Mormon families will use less.
