Beautiful photo. I too have seen several bald eagles around Norwood every time I go there, off of Lone Cone Road, but not elsewhere in the region. I wonder why they congregate there?
The NWS extended the Flood Watch for the Moab area from Noon today until Midnight tonight, even though there are no clouds in the sky and none in the forecast for today. I think they've become sensitized to weather disasters so err on the side of caution. And are aware of the remarkable degree of localization of severe rain events on the Colorado Plateau.
Navajo Reservoir added 66,541 acre feet of water from midnight to about 8:00 am today. That's a crazy amount of water.
