Almost nothing better than a good Sankey diagram, other than, “WTF!? Are these folks trying to bring an extirpated species back to a state similar to the one that existed before it was systematically slaughtered — i.e. the “natural” state — or are they running a zoo?”

Maybe New Mexico, more than CO, is “a ‘State’ similar to the one that existed before it was systematically slaughtered.”

I was fortunate enough to hear some wolf howls out my window in the middle of the night last winter as one headed west from the Crystal River Valley. I didn’t quite believe my ears, but it was confirmed by someone with more naturalist chops than myself.

As far as the needed reductions in consumptive water use, I could go on at length but right now I’ll just say “Solar farms are farms!”

Thanks very much for the link to the latest analysis of the Colorado River debacle. I'm especially concerned that the situation might reach a crisis level while the Trump administration is still in power. These clowns would undoubtedly make an already terrible situation even worse!
