this comment does not fit here, more about mining. UA water resources has their annual conference and it is possible to zoom it, not going to Tucson and hanging out. Freeport McMoran will be there and others. here is a link to the schedule:

Thanks for the heads up about commenting on Chaco! On the list for this weekend.

Wish I could remember the green chili chicken sandwich I had walking through Grants, NM on the CDT/Route 66. It was delicious, but then I had a thru-hiker appetite and didn't have enough food in Pie Town.

As for bookshops and burgers, I can recommend the following in Seattle: Elliott Bay Book Company and Red Bill Burgers verde burger - veggie, chicken, or beef options. Grab a sandwich to go and take it to Ballard Locks where you can sit by the water, watch sea lions, herons, salmon, boats, feast and read. Another shop that has excellent depth is Third Place Books (three locations, ALL community hubs). With a book store in just about every neighborhood there are A LOT of options in this town. :-D

Thanks for the update on these issues, Jonathan.

White Rabbit Books & Curiosities isn’t on the atlas yet! It’s here in Durango, along the river trail. A wondrous and delightful bookshop!

Judging from the Atlas - must be Green Chile Cheeseburgers are only a Western State thing!

On the FS move (read about in Wildlife News) I bet Mike Lee is "over the moon" right now. Well, that is, if he isnt the next pick for AG!! Now thats a scary thought.

Re: Green chili burgers. Headed south on I-25 end of the month. Do I seek out recommendations or do research 🤔. I can recommend the burger and most everything at Portal Cafe and Lodge, Portal AZ. Great patio with bird feeders. Check out Cave Creek Ranch for a fantastic bird viewing experience. Also the Visitor Information Center has nice volunteers.
