Freedom Cities, my a**. What a hideous concept. With this still, and the shredding of the roadless rule, our lands and waters are in deep, serious trouble
It was either last year, or the year before, that our AG in CO had to step in and stop rampantly growing Douglas County from taking water from the San Luis Valley Ag communities. THERE IS NO WATER FOR THESE developments and sick freedom cities. Mike Lee should, probably already does, know this.
There are so many many heads buried in the sand (which there will be lots more sand at this rate) all over this entire country. This obviously includes the people who will be hurt the most by it - which is ALL of us. I'm sure here in the East, there are as many asses sticking up in the air here as there are in the West. We here had a great winter (well, sort of normal, that is) lots of snow - lots of cold. And a really wet spring - ground still seems saturated - the springs up in my field have soaked new spots that havent been wet before. And now the past 2 days and continuing today its high 90s and humid. I made the mistake of taking my dog to the vets for a checkup yesterday in a vehicle with no a/c (right now, that is) Neither of us thought we were going to make it home and its only a 25-30 minute ride. I can laugh about it now, but it was no joke yesterday.
I'm just saying, we ALL have to wake up and tell these idiotic morons to take a hike!
And saying that, yeah, I realize we cant literally do that right now.
Everyone in this country and across the world should be terrified - plus what else is going on.
Freedom for rich white christian people cities! woo hoo....one of my fav quotes from Daily Kos:
What Republicans mean by “freedom” :
1.The freedom to tell people what to do.
2.Freedom from being told what to do.
When Republicans talk about valuing “freedom”, they’re speaking of it in the sense that only people like them should ultimately possess it.
Meanwhile, working in the field southeast of Mesa into Pinal county, thousands of houses are going up in "Superstition Vistas" all the way to Florence. They were supposed to guarantee 100 year water supply. Don't know whose palm was greased but climate change is not going to stop drying out the west anytime soon. Nearby deserts have become barren....

There. Will. Be. Very. Limited. Water!!!!!!!
My question is how much water can be lost from aquifers in AZ before they run out of water? I guess time will tell.
Precisely

Thanks for the update Jonathan.
FWIW Thune did say he would respect the Parliamentarian's ruling so Lee isn't really conceding anything.

Thanks, Jon, good information, but scary.
